Job Title: Head of Solution Design, Americas

Job Location: New Jersey, Newark

We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Solution Design, Americas in our Order Management Solutions (OMS) division at DHL Global Forwarding.

The Head of Solution Design, Americas will manage the business solutions functions which consists of Solution Design, Supply Chain Engineering, and Sales Support / Bid Management for Order Management Solutions (OMS). This position will be based at our Newark, NJ location and report into Vice President OMS Americas.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to internal teams and external customers supporting OMS regional growth aspirations.
• Participate in developing and presenting technical and operational solutions to OMS customers (prospects and existing) and providing training for internal stakeholders.
• Collaborate with key OMS stakeholders (Business Solutions, Operations, Implementation) and other regional counterparts to develop new service offerings.
• Provide overall strategic leadership and promote a spirit of teamwork.
• Guide the implementation of new customers and new functionality for existing customers.
• Allocate resources effectively to ensure excellence and motivate staff through effective leadership and career-pathing.
• Provide coaching with the overall objective of constantly improving our regional processes in line with global goals.

Qualifications and Key Requirements

• Demonstrated a high level of commitment, very dynamic.
• Ability to engage and lead discussions.
• Excellent understanding of Supply Chain Management, PO Management, 3PL / 4PL service types, finance, and processes
• Recognized subject matter expert in E2E Purchase Order Management and Logistics
• Knowledge of existing and emerging technologies, supply chain tools, processes, and practices
• Commercially skilled and aware of the impact of functional decisions on the commercial viability of proposals
• High level of critical thinking and ingenuity in bringing successful resolution to unusually complex and strategic issues
• Ability to direct large, highly complex interdepartmental projects having strategic business importance
• Preferred experience/competency in:
• Cargo Wise 1, and/or other cloud-based Purchase Order Management systems
• EDI and API
• ERP/WMS/TMS System Support
• Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.
• Expert level knowledge in Infor Nexus
• Assertive and able to influence others, team player, communication, presentation, and training skills.
• Strong analytical skills combined with a systematic problem-solving approach.
• Highly organized, with the ability to utilize project management tools and practices.

Education

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant business or technical subject.
• Master's Degree or equivalent in a relevant business or technical subject is a plus.
• Minimum 10+ years' experience in a relevant sector of the supply chain
