Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our agricultural and construction product development organization. As a Senior Software Engineer, you shall be responsible for full stack software development of control system (Application Software) and maintain firmware software for automotive grade ECUs. These ECUs performs various body control, HVAC, lighting, power distribution functions for Construction and Agriculture vehicles.

* Develop and maintain firmware software for ECUs running on microcontrollers.
* Design and develop model-based control software using MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow from system requirements.
* Perform V&V on models using model in loop, software in loop. Perform MCDC, Code coverage.
* Lead software development tasks with Software suppliers, internal requirements team
* Integrate software and generate final build. Execution of integration tests with bench top breakout box or on actual vehicle as necessary
* Troubleshoot and fix bugs reported by HIL, product validation team or application software team during verification and validation cycle.
* Develop and maintain software documentation: SDD, SRS, API documentation, product functional spec etc.
* Define software configuration management to ensure effective software management.
* Ensure that software adheres to coding/modeling standards (MISRA, MAB) to meet stringent performance and safety requirements of real time embedded system.
* Contribute to Functional Safety relevant software functions in accordance with ISO25119, ISO13849/ISO19014.
* Closely monitor project status and provides progress updates to direct manager, other stakeholders.

This position pays: $106,950 - $163,300 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree in engineering (electrical or mechanical or software) is required. Ph.D. or M.S. degree in engineering preferred. Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in Embedded firmware development using C-language and assembly.
* Experience with Control Systems Design using MATLAB Simulink/Stateflow, automatic code generation tools.
* Experience with software debugging (call stack analysis, profiling, breakpoint evaluation, resource budget analysis as Flash, RAM, and CPU load).
* Experience with CAN, LIN based communication protocol or similar.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Hardware schematics, hardware test equipments like multimeter, oscilloscope, frequency generator.
* Knowledge of MAB, MISRA coding guidelines
* Experience with microcontrollers (16/32-bit automotive grade), compilers/linkers.
* Knowledge of real time operating system RTOS (Autosar OSEK or similar).
* Knowledge of Autosar concepts and experience working with AUTOSAR based MCAL device driver configuration and integration.
* Knowledge of Functional Safety concepts and software implementation in accordance with ISO25119, ISO13849, ISO26262.
* Knowledge of configuration management tools such as SVN or similar, requirements tools (e.g., Polarion or similar).
