At Ports America, the Part Time Junior IT Support Technician is responsible for providing production support, problem analysis, solution definition, and user requirements for IT infrastructure and local IT equipment. The Support Technician will maintain stability to the current IT Solutions, assist in the deployment of new technology and assist in a variety of projects.

Essential Duties:

  • Work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Work 8:30am - 1:30pm
  • Work in the corporate office supporting Executive level.
  • Assist in Identity and Access Management (IAM), to include provisioning, problem resolution and audit support.
  • Maintain the local technology infrastructure.
  • Respond to and document IT incidents utilizing Ports America's IT incident management system.
  • Create, and maintain IT Solutions knowledge base documentation.
  • Track and maintain local IT assets.
  • Comply with Corporate Safety and IT policies and procedures.
  • Identify, procure, and deploy customer IT equipment.
  • Additional duties as directed by business need.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years' experience working in an office environment.
  • Experience in a Windows environment supporting PCs, printers, network equipment (wired and wireless.)
  • Experience with iOS devices.
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, MS Outlook/Exchange, and MS Teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Self-starter, work with minimal supervision.
  • Solid interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to teamwork and a team-oriented environment, with willingness to share knowledge and expedite the accomplishment of assigned tasks.
  • Strong, hands-on, and current knowledge of the Microsoft Windows OS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Outlook and Office 365 environments, and Windows network configurations in a global enterprise environment
  • Extensive knowledge of customer IT desktop/laptop solutions, including deployment, maintenance, and fault resolution
  • Experience presenting technical and security concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of change management, project management and process improvement principles.
  • Knowledge of conference room A/V equipment.
  • Experience handling priorities on a pro-active basis, changing priorities in a fast-paced environment to maximize time-management and efficiencies.
  • Proven analytical and organizational skills.

Physical Working Attributes:

  • Lift, push, and or pull up to 50lbs.
