About the role

The Sr Manager of Workday HRMS is responsible for developing strategies and leveraging technology solutions and data to improve and optimize the delivery of HR services to support business operations, using the Workday platform. Reporting to the Sr Director HR Transformation and Talent, this key role is integral in our transformation journey by enhancing and maximizing the value of the Workday system through various projects and process improvements in order to support business needs, drive efficiency and align to the organization's overall strategy.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage the development, optimization, security, system configurations, upgrades, data integrity, reporting, testing and overall Workday platform.
  • Design and deliver key HR technology/systems initiatives that support HR programs and streamline HR operations.
  • Support the HR Governance program, including change management, communications, and release management.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership, HR team and stakeholders across the firm to identify and implement system improvements, translating business objectives and user needs into clear technical requirements.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of HRIS documentation including processes and procedures, user guides, training/operating manuals and SOP's, job aids, and UAT scripts.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRMS with a focus on product and service development, delivery and support, and applying key technologies.
  • Lead, provide guidance and delegate tasks to outsourced resources; work to establish a roadmap for future projects based on the needs of the organization.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing HR systems, including Workday.
  • Experience with Lean management principles preferred.
  • Experience launching and managing HR technology programs, including change management, communication, and release management.
  • Experience developing end to end business process documentation for all process streams, including processes, procedures, practices, and training materials on deployed systems.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities. Experience diagnosing and resolving complex HRMS issues.
  • Self motivated in a fast-paced environment and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong communication skills required. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in business relationships and exercise sound business judgment.
