The Maintenance Planner devises plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. Accurately defines and estimates required work requests and maintains a consistent tracking system for work orders. Being a Maintenance Planner develops inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. Works closely with technicians, engineers, operations, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. This Position Will support our Catalyst Business Unit in Louisville, KY.


Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with local legal regulations and Clariant policies regarding safety and environmental aspects
  • Participate in risk analysis; support and implement corresponding action items
  • Ensure all SAMACO items have high-quality job plans
  • Ensure standardized processes are used to develop job plans, equipment BOMs, and OEM recommended PMs
  • Providing detailed job plans for safe and efficient execution of maintenance jobs:
  • out safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Build a job plan library and 'standing' plans for breakdown work
  • Secure parts and services for developed job plans
  • Ensure planned work orders (WOs) are correctly set up and complete in SAP
  • Continually update job plans to incorporate necessary changes or improvements
  • Support maintaining all technical plant documentation and create technical plant documentation
  • Support proper utilization of Management of Change (MOC)
  • Participate in performance board dialogues to explore actual time and collect comments
  • Ensure appropriate job-related qualifications and training are up to date
  • Actively seek feedback and review executed work to improve developed job plans

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from college/university or technical school; or more than 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 5+ years related experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
  • 3+ years related experience in reliability centered maintenance methodology preferred
  • Excellent electrical, mechanical and spatial aptitude with the ability to learn and apply root cause analyses, lean and six sigma methodologies
