RHD Bucks County is seeking full-time CERTIFIED RECOVERY OR PEER SPECIALIST (CRS/CPS) for this new program in the Oxford Valley area! The CRS/CPS supports the program participants by providing support to achieve recovery goals, identifying and accessing community recovery resources, groups and activities, facilitating improved life skills and promoting a healthy lifestyle.



The CRS/CPS will support individuals' engagement throughout the treatment experience.


* Engage individuals in a trusting and supportive relationship.

* Promote the principles of recovery and wellness with participants and community providers.

* Role model wellness and recovery.

* Identify recovery goals to assist participants with recovery resources and interpersonal relationships and community integration activities.


* Regularly and directly communicate with the treatment team.

* Facilitate recovery groups, sessions and activities and complete timely required documentation in the electronic health record.

* Assist in identifying vocational and housing supports; as well as other social supports needed to promote recovery.

* Collaborate and support program staff with routine program activities and resident monitoring.


* Certification for CRS or CPS. Or in Process

* High school diploma or equivalency

* 2 years of experience in substance use disorder treatment is preferred.

* Valid driver's license

* Must have knowledge of substance use disorders and MAT.

* Knowledge of community resources.

* Basic computer and typing skills, willingness to be trained in use of electronic health record.

* CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.


Other

  • Maintain one's own physical, mental, and emotional well-being so that the CPS/CRS can function appropriately in the job and can model healthy functioning to those we serve.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by leadership team, to support individuals' recovery.


Administrative

  • Complete required documentation of services in a timely manner according to agency policy.

The Halfway House is a community based 24-hour residential treatment facility that provides access to Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) services while offering individualized, trauma informed, person centered clinical services in a supportive, safe environment.
