Position Purpose: Salespeople deliver the RBC research and banking product to institutional accounts contributing to revenues and furthering the RBC franchise in the US/North America.
Key Accountabilities: * Selling the US/North American research product and new issues in addition to providing platform solutions to institutional accounts in the United States * Cultivate client base. Initiate and develop new customers and contacts as well as maintaining existing customers. * Maintain thorough product knowledge of RBC research, offerings and services * Maintain clear understanding of the investment style and needs of each client * Generate investment ideas based on real-time analysis of market events * Communicate with clients to relay information on the North American economy, stocks they currently hold as well as new research ideas * Develop and maintain open communication with the sales traders and other RBC coverage * Facilitate analyst and company marketing trips to meet with clients
Job Requirements: (Knowledge/ Experience): * BA/BS with emphasis in Business, Econ, Mathematics or related field; * MBA, MA or MS preferred; * Series 7 and 63 * Solid understanding of Equity Capital Markets * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Minimum 5 years experience working in a sales function * Solid, significant relationships with buyside instititutions * Proven ability to generate revenue
