| The Senior Manager Payroll reports to the Vice President Human Resources and is responsible for the overall operation of the Payroll Department, the successful completion of the payroll in accordance with an established pay calendar, the timely submission of payroll reports and the timely payment of payroll taxes. Specific duties include supervising the Payroll staff, resolving payroll issues, preparing and transmitting taxes and reports, resolving monthly discrepancy reports, entering data online, and processing W-2s. This individual plans and manages the activities of a centralized payroll department that prepares and processes payroll and performs payroll system maintenance. The Senior Manger Payroll ensures that the company payroll, overtime and withholding status, meet all federal and local government reporting requirements. X Manages the activities of the payroll functions in the US (and other countries) X Develops standard operating procedures pertaining payroll processing and timekeeping X Provides support of all tax requirements surrounding executive compensation X Maintains the reporting security structure for all payroll and human resources systems users X Ensures the accuracy of payroll processing X Responds to employee payroll related inquiries X Reviews and prepares monthly analysis of the UK and Israel payroll processing X Prepares all executive compensation relating to the CD&A at year end X Resolves payroll issues and problems with employees, schools and other departments. X Responsible for any handwritten check and corrects payroll errors. X Responsible for monthly payroll processing including, but not limited to, preparing prenotes, creating spreadsheets, processing retro benefit deductions, calculating paysheets, confirming payroll cycle, processing leave accruals, creating direct deposit file, printing pay advices, printing checks and payroll reports. X Prepares and file quarterly tax forms. X Applies for all tax credits including annual Business Employment Incentive Program (BEIP) grant filing. X Processes W-2s for current and previous employees including setting up specific calendars and W-2 related tables. X Determines payroll time lines for the year, set up pay calendars and oversee EZLabor time entries and reconciliations. X Trains payroll resources; plans, assigns, directs and reviews work; appraises performance; addresses complaints and resolves problems. X Maintains currency on all current laws related to payroll. X Compiles data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. EZ Labor/payroll, salary adjustments, tax deposits, etc.) for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with mandated requirements, and/or monitoring program components. X Performs other duties as assigned. Specific Requirements (Technical Knowledge, Software, Etc.) X Ability to function well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment that demands creativity, energy and excellence X ADP PCPW, ADP ezLaborManager, ADP iPayStatements, ADP GL InfoLink X International (UK and/or Israel) payroll experience X Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) X Knowledge of compensation, payroll, EEOC, etc. X Minimum of 10+ years experience in payroll in a corporate environment X Proven analytical/technical skills X Strong oral and written communications skills with excellent interpersonal skills Additional Skills (would like to have but not required) X Certified Payroll Professional (CCP) designation preferred American Payroll Association (APA) Member Report Writing skills (ReportSmith, Crystal Reports) Knowledge H1-Bs, B1/B2, L1/L2, Green Card (I-140/I-485) and Labor Certification/Alien Employment Certification (PERM), including Labor Condition Applications and Non-immigrant Visas Education Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in accounting, finance or related field Three years of responsible automated technical payroll accounting experience |
